I am trying to find an alto sax instructor for a reasonable price. I am a student and do not have much extra spending money, so can anyone help decide what a reasonable rate is?

They’re usually around 15-25 dollars per half hour (30-50 per hour). Conservatory teachers can charge over 100 per hour, but your average teacher should be around the 15-25 half hour range. They are expensive, however they are a great thing to take and will help you play much better. Even taking a few lessons if that is all you can afford can help because many teachers tell you good practice habits.
